One area where Waterjet Steam Profiling has considerable experience is in profiling parts for steam locomotives and steam traction engines. In particular, our waterjet technology has been used to successfully profile valve rods and running gear on new build locomotives, with finished profiles needing little in the way of secondary machining, and starting with rough forgings of typically 200 x 150mm sections.
